Good product design is very important for the Japanese consumers. Excellent industrial product design has also been one of the major reasons why Japanese electronics, cars and many other Japanese products have been very successful internationally. Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP) believes that design is becoming even more important in Japan now.
